On 4 July 2025, The Minister for Trade and Industry, Morten Bødskov, and Ukraine’s Minister for Strategic Industries, Herman Smetanin, have signed an agreement to strengthen cooperation in defense production between the two nations.
This means that Denmark and Ukraine will work together to help Ukrainian defense companies establish branches in Denmark.
The document signed by the parties refers to specific steps to assist Ukrainian defence-companies in establishing new production facilities in Denmark.
Additionally, the two countries will remove obstacles to cooperation and protect common technologies from misuse through various initiatives and projects.
Present at the signing was also Oleksandr Kamyshin, advisor to President Zelenskyy on strategic affairs.
